Sunrise at Raul's place, Pinos Altos,
New Mexico.

Jan. 24, 1999 - We all drove down to City of
Rocks and bounded about the boulder-strewn terrain.
Everything was well until Andy twisted his ankle slightly on loose
gravel. At midday we bid Andy and Karen adieu and went back to
Silver to rent a room at the Palace. We found a nice suite with
two bedrooms and a TV room between the two.
Raul and I had settled down to a late afternoonβs surfing cable
TV when we spied a listing for a baseball game on a Spanish
station. We waited for the time to come and lo, were treated to a
Puerto
Rican league baseball game. We watched the game and tried to
identify players who had made it to the big leagues. At a lark we
thought what a great idea it would be go to over to the Copper
Inn, the local Mexican bar, and catch the game there.
Raul and I along with a few other patrons watched the game while
pounding back some pounders, 16 oz. bottles of Bud. We retired
back to the hotel, surfed the tube a little more, and retired to a
very restful sleep.
Next morning we treated ourselves to the hotel's continental
breakfast, and not a bad one at that.
