Friends' wares and mini cupcakes from the last Market Day at The Kirkwood.

Market Day is as decribed on their Facebook page as "a casual monthly market for art, vintage, found items, homemade and handmade goods," held several times a year inside The Kirkwood building, usually coinciding with the Saturday morning Downtown Des Moines Farmers’ Market. The next event, a Black Friday sale, is scheduled for November 28, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Sara Initiative plies pop culture themed wares.

Graystitch offers bibdanas, mama scarfs, wet bags, snack bags, and other homemade items for mamas and babies.

CuppyCakes by Shayla Rae's mini cupcakes. The Strawberry Basil, above left, offers a freshly picked basil leaf on top. It packs an herbacous punch! Other flavors offered were gluten free vegan Mocha, vegan Watermelon, vegan Lavender Lemon, Red Velvet, and S'mores.
