Highlights from the first Saturday of the 2015 Downtown Des Moines Farmers' Market.

Grilled cheeses from Say Cheese DSM pleases, while Big Daddy's BBQ brings the heat, along with the sweet with their line of barbecue and hot sauces.

German sausages on the grill from Strudl Haus, and lovely bundles of asparagus for sale at Rinehart's Family Farm stand.

There's doughnuts and breakfast pizzas aplenty from Djonuts by Capes Kafé and Something Italian, respectively. S.I. also features frittatas made by Louie Baratta's mother.

Its all Gouda cheese from Frisian Farms. Of note, from left, Gouda with cumin, and the Sneek, aged over 1,000 days.

Its not a Farmers' Market without a visit to Saloo's Indian Cooking for grilled potato cutlets and samosas. A dozen homemade fudges are available from Fudgeez.

A wide variety of breads await purchase from Big Sky Bread. Both spring onion and garlic are for sale from Cleverley Farms. Take a stroll across Water St. to The Riverwalk Hub for their Bloody Mary bar.

Stunning, elegant baked goods, both savory and sweet from La Mie, including this delightful spinach and feta pastry.

Dutch letters and more delights from Vander Ploeg Bakery. Cabbage rolls filled with pork, rice, and carrot, from L&L European Delight.
