Drinks in the East Village

Two dollar bottles of domestic bottled beer and fresh popcorn, during The Garden Nightclub's weekday Happy Hour. Followed up with a decent Bloody Mary, flavored with horseradish and Sriracha. Life is briefly merciful.

Enjoying a fine double espresso at The Village Bean Coffee Co. Later I ordered up a Depth Charge, a double espresso topped with either Madhouse Brewing's Sumatra Coffee Stout or Peace Tree Brewing's Rye Porter. Ask the barista to pour the beer atop the hot espresso for a delicious espresso-infused beer foam.

$5 for tall boys of Surly Brewing's Furious, and Hell, plus its 2-for-1 on Tuesdays and Sundays at the The BeechWood Lounge.
