Doughnuts in the DSM: Hiland Bakery, Donut Hut, Djonuts

Hiland Bakery on Sixth just north of Euclid is second to Donut King for best chocolate-frosted chocolate cake doughnut in Des Moines, IMHO.

Left: A tasty cherry doughnut from Donut Hut that I picked up on an apple frittter run. On Festivus, Djonuts popped up at Capes Kafé with some eggnog and cinnamon-sugar doughnuts, right.
