Breakfast in the DSM: Potbelly, La Mie Elevate, Railroad Bill's

An Original breakfast sandwich on whole-grain at Potbelly is enjoyable. No lack of sausage on this build with egg and cheddar. Optional hot peppers – an oil-based giardiniera which is also sold in jars – are zippy and crunchy. Pictured is half of sandwich.

Potbelly's Blueberry Maple Square with egg, sausage, and cheddar. Not a bad sandwich, but I generally don't combine sweet with savory.

Left: Meat Scramble at La Mie Elevate: eggs, ham, bacon, spinach, broccoli, asparagus; with diced tomato, avocado half, and salad of greens and berries with a light vinaigrette. A very good breakfast! Right: Rustic, delicious three-egg omelet with mushroom, onion, cheddar at Railroad Bill’s Dining Car, 621 Des Moines. Came with a pile of fried potatoes, and toast. Side of bacon was perfect. All for less than $10.
