Yet more Oreo specialty flavors

Left, Kettle Corn Oreo gets its creme texture from puffed millet pieces, and its undeniably sweet like kettle-made popcorn. Might even say it sorta tastes like it too; I’m not that fond of kettle-made popcorn. Center, Cherry Cola smells like the real deal, but the flavor of the creme is too ‘soft’ despite a sprinkling of Pop Rocks to simulate effervescence. And I swear I’m tasting hints of Hot & Spicy Cinnamon. Smooth flavored cremes are at the center of these Chocolate & Peanut Butter & Pie Oreo, right. A little too smooth as the graham cookie overpowers; altogether it tastes like cookie butter with cocoa. Tasty but not remarkable.

Aromas of warm cookie and tropical fruit entice when I opened up a package of Piña Colada Oreo Thins, left. Smooth pineapple, coconut flavors do not disappoint. The flavor of the creme in these Pistachio Oreo Thins, right, at first reminds me of Lucky Charms marshmallow bits; pistachio comes soon enough to compliment the marshmallowy base. Thin chocolate cookie does not overbear. Quite good!

Left, Strawberry Shortcake smells like Crunch Berries. The creme is quite smooth and decidedly sweet, while the cookie is studded with ‘strawberry’ bits. I like the cookie a lot more than the creme. Probably just fine for the kids. Rocky Road Trip, right, sports a cookie dotted with marshmallow bits and rocky road-flavored creme with “soy nut inclusions.” Texture wise the marshmallow bits are interesting enough and tend to get stuck in your teeth. The creme is soft and rich in cocoa and marshmallow flavors. The “Soy nut inclusions” add a wee bit of crunch to the creme but offer little much else. Not to mention the name is weird. Sounds like a male-specific medical condition, IMHO. Why not just give us almond bits?
