Flora and fauna: Recent eats at New World Cafe, B&B Grocery.

Vegan dinner at New World Cafe. Meal-mate had a substantial Mexican Bowl with grains, beans, roasted potato and yam, assorted vegetables, avocado, a green herb salsa, smoky cashew cheese, and a pumpkin seed crumble; while I enjoyed a delicious Taco Salad with lettuce, mushroom-bean-millet taco crumbles, cilantro-lime cabbage, bell peppers, tomato, red onion, avocado, cashew cream, and a sweet green herb salsa vinaigrette. Both exhibited bold flavors, textures, and were quite filling.

It would be a crime to not visit with Mike at B&B Grocery, Meat & Deli, and not enjoy his epic creation: the Sloppy Mike Killer, sauced housemade Italian sausage and mozzarella topping a zippy Louisiana Hot Polish. Its a formidable sandwich!
