The year so far at Exile Brewing

Left, An IPA for the summer months, this Merlin’s Mist New England-style IPA from Exile Brewing goes down frightfully easy; ubiquitous grapefruit aroma for an IPA, tropical/citrus fruit-rich in flavor. 6.1% ABV, 15 IBU. Center, Just enough tart in Exile's Lemon Trail ale to whet the palate, with an even hand on coriander and lemon drop hops to give this brew extra a-‘peel’. 4.5% ABV, 15 IBU. Chill Hop, right, is a more familiar IPA offering brewed with Simcoe, Mosaic, and Chinook hops. This double IPA boasts robust flavors with an astringent finish. 7.5% ABV, 40 IBU.

Crest of Cashmere, left, is a double dry hopped pale ale brewed with Citra, Mosaic, and Cashmere hops. Familiar IPA aromas; flavors of tangerine, mango, and peach make this an easy drinking brew with some citrus to whet the palate. 5.9% ABV, 35 IBU. Whoa! Exile’s already impressive G.G., center, a dark/MΓΌnchner dunkel, gets an extra boost of smoothness with a post-fermentation addition of Burundi coffee beans roasted by nearby Horizon Line Coffee. 5% ABV, 18 IBU. Ogre at Simcoe Pass, right, hits the nose from when the barkeep sets it down before you. An easy quaff yet undeniably hoppy; a surprising IPA perfectly suited for summer. 6.5% ABV.

Left, the seasonal Oktoberfest MΓ€rzen is in and it’s going down smooth. Caramel malt with “a hint of noble hop bitterness”, finishes dry. 5.9% ABV. Right, A Cedar Ridge Smash featuring Cedar Ridge Distillery bourbon, lemon juice, muddled mint, and simple syrup. A refreshing drink!
