Day-tripping the San Joaquin Valley

I don’t believe I’ve ever had a breakfast burrito with rice and beans, left, until I visited Taqueria Mis Compadres in Modesto. With egg, chorizo, potato, tomato, and cilantro, it’s a hefty meal. The condiment bar is top notch; bonus for whole radishes. Center, Taking on the big fellow. Right, Sacrificing my liver at LangeTwins Family Winery and Vineyards in Acampo, California.

Amazing home-cooked meal with roasted parsnips, grilled asparagus, naan, and some fantastic Dakota brats and basil sausage from Lockeford (California) Meats & Sausage.
