Brunchpocalypse!

UPDATE: The Point has since closed.

On Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Chef Sam Auen of Tacopocalypse fame, offers up the appropriately named Brunchpocalypse at The Point in Clive. On a couple of visits I tried two of Sam's signature brunch items.

Breakfast Nachos are over the top with crispy corn tortilla chips topped with scrambled egg, bacon chorizo, slaw and a tasty crema con queso!

The Breakfast Thing features one of a selection of taco fillings with sausage gravy and two eggs atop a simple corn tortilla quesadilla, with a side of slaw. Those above feature poblano potato and eggs over easy. Briefly Sam experimented with a corned beef hash, as seen below. In this instance, the hash was more like a braised beef with moist with gravy-like juices within its crispy exterior. No matter what filling you try, its a study, filling breakfast.
