Horizon Line Coffee: West Coast Joe in the DSM

A Gibraltar, left, a velvety concoction of roughly three parts steamed milk to two parts espresso, served lukewarm. The drink gets it name from the design pattern of the glassware used. Some days require a trifecta of coffee, center, as this flight ably presents. Espresso, pour over, and cold brew from the same single origin beans. A surprising range of flavors come forth! I'm not an aficionado of lattes but this one, right, made with Picket Fence Creamery whole milk is delicious AF!

Left: Some of the inventive beverages that Horizon Line Coffee cobbles up. Center and right: Vegan double chocolate cookies are narcotic when you need a cocoa fix. Crusty exterior conceals a moister crumb within.

Excellent filter brew, left, and at two bucks is a value for premium coffee. Center: On a warm bright day in January and I’m the only patron to grab a chair and enjoy coffee in the sun. Horizon Line coffee porter from Exile Brewing, right. Solid flavor and aroma. I can smell the roasted bean!
