Pizza at Bennigan's? No Fuke-ing way!

UPDATE: Bennigan's has since closed.

With a gift Groupon in hand and some foreknowledge of the grinder sandwich served at Bennigan's on Army Post Road, I took advantage of an early leave from work and visited the chain bar for lunch. Sadly I found out that the grinder is only an occasional dinner offering. However after perusing a menu for Fucaloro's Pizza – served here only at the southside Bennigan's – my spirits improved somewhat.

I settled for the signature pizza, The Fuke, made with Graziano's sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, black olives, and banana peppers.

Surprisingly good! It rates just above par if you like your pizza cheesy, with a decent amount of toppings in equal proportions.

It's clearly the superior of Cheese Castle Pizza down the street, but if given a choice I wouldn't pass up either the red red kroovy on Tavern South's Grinder Sting pizza nor south-side favorite Bordenaro's cracker-thin crust.
