Built in
1925 as the St.
Francis Hotel and long since repurposed, but the signage
remains, left. The dive bar that once inhabited the former Hotel
El Cortez's ground floor, center, was where I had my first
drink in Reno.
Right, Wonder
Woman. She's slots-of-fun!

Left, look
at those whiskers fly! Returning to the Silver
Legacy just as its restaurants closed disappointingly
early at 9 p.m., I bought potato chips for dinner, center and
right. These biscuits and gravy flavored potato chips did not
suck. Quite peppery in fact.

Civilization!
Espresso con panna, left, at Bibo Coffee Company on
S. Sierra. I love this wee place! Center, does chemical
agents include crappy perfumes and colognes? Enjoying a Double
Take of Hub
Coffee Roasters' single-origin coffee, right. I like this
option of enjoying espresso and brew separately.

Two things I like at San
Rafael Coffee in Carson
City: their bold Nicaraguan dark roast, above left, and a
comfy chair. Above center, 100% meat. Its best not to
inquire further. Above right, found in a barrel full of toy cars
for just a buck, at some knick-knack store in Virginia
City. Right, the small consist for our half-hour tour aboard
the Virginia & Truckee
Railroad. Our car was open air and it was blustery and
chilly.
