Mornings in Reno with a trio of pleasing breakfasts

Melanie's Croquet Madame at Crafted Palette, 130 West St., features a croissant topped with a fried egg, gruyère cheese, Canadian bacon, and a creamy béchamel sauce, served with a cinnamon apple, kale and cranberry salad.

Left, dueling iPhones with my comrade in breakfast! Right, Shirred Eggs at Crafted Palette. Buttered eggs, baked with leeks and a creamy parmesan sauce. Very rich!

Quiche du jour, left, at Homage, 519 Ralston St., which comes with choice of yogurt parfait, center, or salad, right. All items are quite delicious.

UltiMelt Omelette at Two Chicks, 752 S. Virginia St., with garlic, and Parmesan, cheddar, fontina, and cream cheeses was creamy, cheesy, eggy! Farm fresh, local, free-range eggs or duck eggs are tasty option. Ordered with a side of veggie fritters featuring shredded zucchini, carrots, and broccoli. Am I missing an ingredient? Hand-pattied Flocchini Meats breakfast sausage, right, are superbly seasoned.
